Firsts

Eli watched his first OU football game yesterday.  He wore his vintage Sooner shirt that my brothers and I wore when we were babies.  Of course our Sooners won 57-2.  Boomer Sooner.

Today was also the first time for Derek and Eli to experience the Henryetta Labor Day extravaganza.  At the parade, Eli's favorite thing was the bands.  Derek's favorite thing was the little pageant winners doing their princess waves.  I just loved being there with my little family and I'm not going to lie, the Now & Later candy I ate was pretty good.  Eli really liked the fireworks too.  His mouth was wide open in awe the whole time.

I love it that your parents kept the Sooner shirt and Eli got to wear it. That is such a cute idea! I agree with Derek the pageant winners are the best part of parades!!

how did you set up your blogs links to show you when blogs were posted?

Man, I'm so sad I missed the Henryetta Labor Day festivities! We went to Reptile World in South Dakota and saw some turtles, and it really made me sad I missed the turtle race!

Looks like a fun labor day. We had a temple day then went surfing and I managed to break a finger!
Fun game? Can't forget the UH tailgate experience! I think tailgating is a bit more fun than the actual games, but that's just me. Go Sooners! Thanks to you I now know what that means.
