Pumpkins & Ponies

 

My pumpkin patch cuties.  I took them over fall break and we had a lot of fun.

        

When we got home, Eli said, “Mom, in one of the pictures we took at the pumpkin patch, I think I looked like Justin Bieber.”  I started laughing, which I think embarrassed him, so he said, “I mean the style of it.”  I think this was the one he meant, lol.  The boy does love to pose.  I asked him how he knew who Justin Bieber was.  He said because his friend’s sister wants to kiss him.

 

     

They love each other so much.  It makes me happy!

They love to ride the ponies every year.

      

My strong boy pulled his sister all the way back to the van, which was quite a ways.

When we got home they painted their pumpkins.  Serious business judging by their faces.

Lots of family fun and the kids even ate a donut burger (and liked it)!

Doug & Brooke’s wedding

 

     

It was a great day and we are glad to have Brooke in the family.  Eli was the first to hug the groom when they came out of the temple. 

         

           

I took these while we were waiting for them to come out.  Eli played the dragon game while he waited.

Labor Day

     

    

We enjoyed the parade.  It was hot, so Derek said if I wanted him to go we were getting a gazeebo.  It was Mary and Rodney’s first time, and Beth even came and brought her niece.

We didn’t get a turtle, but we watched the turtles and frogs, and Eli showed expert skill at the fish scramble.  Cori was sure that she was going to do it this year, but when it came to getting in, she was a no go.

As usual, Grandma made yummy gumbo for lunch and Grandma and Papa enjoyed swinging grandkids on Meemaw and Papa’s swing.

School Days

        

Eli started Kindergarten and I’m doing a nursery school co-op with Cori one day a week.  They are both enjoying school and doing great.

Eli always gets his work done quick so that he can build and play with his friends.  He is very social.

On A day we made apple pie.

On E day we walked on eggs (they didn’t break) and had smiley faces with egg eyes.
