When we decided to have Eli's first birthday party at our new house, we knew we were pushing it, but we decided to do it anyway as extra motivation. It was a bit stressful, but with lots of help from family and friends, I think we pulled it off. That morning we were moving furniture and cleaning floors, but when party time rolled around it felt good to relax and enjoy Eli and have fun with so many people that we care about. We had fun and I hope everyone else did too. Most importantly, Eli was happy because he got cake, toys, and a shiny balloon!
