Cori’s 3rd Birthday

IMG_2798DSC03163

She got a pink sprinkle donut in bed and a princess umbrella.  We did a rainbow theme for her parties.

We had a family party at the farm the Sunday before her birthday.  Is that the sweetest face you’ve ever seen?

It was a girly extravaganza with hats, tiaras, purses, jewelry, and dresses galore.  Even Derek got into the action.

Grandma & Papa got Cori a princess scooter.  Monday morning at 7:30, I was awakened by both kids in the kitchen with the scooter box open and parts all over the floor.  Needless to say, I put it together for her.  There was no time to put on clothes, she just wanted to ride.

We had a rainbow party with friends on her birthday.

We were supposed to sort the colors of the rainbow with water beads, but, come to find out, if you hydrate multicolored water beads in the same bowl, they all turn the same color.  Oh well, the kids had fun with them anyway.  It was nice, so we had fun playing outside too.

A few things about Cori at age 3.  She is my sweet girl.  She loves to be by my side and she gives world famous  hugs.  You can often find her carrying around a purse and talking on a play phone.  She talks a mile a minute and speaks very well, but she likes to talk baby talk, which kind of drives us crazy.   She loves to flip through books, play pretend, fill bags & containers with little things, cut paper, climb, and cuddle soft things.  When she gets excited, she bounces.  Her favorite colors are pink and purple.  If I give her a plate of food, she will eat the fruits and veggies first, but she also loves sweets.  She is growing slowly but surely, about 22 lbs now.  She still sucks her thumb and twists her hair, but not as bad as she used to, so her hair is growing, but she still won’t let me fix it most of the time.  She knows her shapes and the letters in her name and she can kind of write it.  She can count to 10 (at least) and recognize 1-5 and some letters.  Her favorite show is Team UmiZumi.  She loves nursery and her favorite primary song is Smile That Frown Away.  She has been known to lock me out, but I love her tons!

Just got to see these today! Last time I looked at your blog last week, the only pics were from Derek's graduation. Enjoyed all of them! Cori's party at the farm was little girl heaven for all of us! Glad too see the pics, will have to show Aunt Perina.
